San Mateo County Easter Egg Hunts Are Just Around the Corner

Easter is just around the corner and with that comes Easter Egg Hunts!  The first San Mateo County easter egg hunt takes place this coming weekend on Saturday, March 15th.  Head over to Orange memorial Park's Picnic Shelter on Orange Avenue in South San Francisco to take part.  It's the 61st Annual Easter Egg Hunt and children from pre-school to 3rd grade (8 years old) can take part.  It will take place rain or shine.  If your child is under 3, the Easter Bunny will hand out treats and easter eggs to them.  There will be

two easter egg hunts taking place.  Children between 4-6 and 7-8 will search for hidden eggs and treasures against children in their own age group.  This is FREE and you don't have to live in South City to participate.  Just remember to bring your camera.

The rest of the San Mateo County's Easter Egg Hunts take place on Saturday, March 22nd, except one...

Burlingame Lion's Club Annual Easter Egg Hunt takes place at Burlingame's Recreation Center (850 Burlingame Avenue).  The morning starts off with a pancake breakfast from 7:30 - 11:00 AM.  The Hunts take place between 9AM and 11AM and will be grouped by ages.  There's even a special egg hunt for latecomers!  There is a charge for breakfast, but the egg hunt is FREE!  Don't forget to bring your own easter basket.

The 31st Anniversary Eggstravaganza in San Mateo will take place between 9 AM and 1:30 PM at Central Park (50 E.5th Avenue & ElLittle girl with easter basket Camino).  This is a signature springtime community event for everyone!  Eggs are hidden around Central Park and children have a great time searching for them. FREE!  Don't forget about your basket.

The Belmont East Egg Hunt begins at 9 AM on the button, at Twin Pines Park.  This is a FREE event for children between 3 and 10 years old.  There is only one hunt and they will begin on time, so get there or plan on heading up to San Mateo.  The children need to bring their own basket.

Filoli in the spring is one of the prettiest places in San Mateo County and the Filoli Spring Fling and Easter Egg Hunt runs between 10 AM and 3 PM.  You MUST buy tickets in advance and you can do so online.  The egg hunts take place continuously from 11 AM until 2 PM and they provide the basket.  This is for children between 2 and 7 years old.  Cost:  $20.00

The Burgess Park in Menlo Park is the setting for an Easter Egg Hung and a photo op for your child with the Easter Bunny.  Events begin at 10 AM and conclude at Noon.  The Bunny arrives right at 10, and egg hunt begins at 10:30 AM with 2 and under looking for eggs with their parent's assistance.  It's followed by the 3-4 year olds at 10:40 AM; 5-6 year olds at 10:50 AM and finishes up with the 7-8 year olds at 11:00 AM.   Children need to bring their own basket and are restricted to only 3 eggs.  Should it rain, Burgess Recreation Center will be the place to be as the eggs and candy will be distributed inside.

....Easter Sunday

The Foster City Lions Club will hold their annual Easter Egg Hunt Easter Sunday at 2 PM at Ryan Park (corner of East Hillsdale Blvd. and Shell Blvd.).  There will be Easter Egg hunts set up for different age groups.  The Easter Bunny will be there for photos. This goes quickly so get there on time.  FREE!
