Up in the Air for Our New Listing

My Photographer and PilotWe have a great new listing coming out soon in the coastal town of Half Moon Bay.  Yesterday I had the opportunity to join my photographer, Jay Richardson and his friend Eddie Andrieni, who incidentally is a certified stunt pilot, as we took off from Half Moon Bay Airport for aerial photos of this fabulous property.  With 30 knot winds buffeting the plane, it was rather interesting at times, but what an amazing experience! I wished it could have lasted for hours but alas, it was only a thirty minute ride.

Eddie, who has been flying since he was 16, and is now, well I didn’t ask but he’s well over 16, was flying the plane.  He owns several planes hangered at the Half Moon Bay airport, and participates in air shows around the west.  Yes, he is the one flying the plane upside down just above the ground.

Since Eddie is a stunt pilot, flying in these winds was a snap for him.  He’d bank the plane, grab the bar in front of the window and hold on.  Little ‘ol me, I was holding onto his seat back, just to be steady.

It was really interesting watching Jay shoot through the back window of this six seat-er plane, as we bounced along the coast because of the high winds.  He’s a real old time professional, shooting pictures under all kinds of circumstances over a long career with UPI.

Since I don’t want to say too much about our new listing until next week, here’s a shot of Half Moon Bay Beach, at the end of Kelly Avenue, in Half Moon Bay.  This beach is a short walk from the property.  Half Moon Bay is a pretty town about 45 minutes south of San Francisco, right on the Pacific Ocean.  It’s a town of about 12,000 people, close to the Silicon Valley and SFO.

It’s well known that a picture is worth a thousand words.  Here’s a photo I shot of Pillar Point and Pillar Point Harbor from the air as we make our final swing around Half Moon Bay.

Our fabulous listing has unobstructed views of Pillar Point, just not from this angle.

As they say, Stay Tuned for the rest of the story and pictures.
